WhatsApp expands customization of the app with wallpapers and stickers

The latest WhatsApp update brings improved wallpapers and sticker search for the app.

The instant messaging service released that it will now allow users to set custom background images for different chats, to make it easier for users to distinguish the dozens or hundreds of chats, easily. There is said to be no limit on how many custom wallpapers a user can select.

WhatsApp introduces dark mode

WhatsApp is also rolling out the Doodle wallpaper – currently the default wallpaper – in more colors and expanding the selection of default wallpapers. Additionally, users can now set a separate wallpaper to activate when their phone switches from light to dark mode. Additionally, all wallpapers can be dimmed or brightened as desired.

The dark mode in particular will be very popular with fans. Not least because of the introduction in iOS and other apps, more and more is being invested in the individualization of platforms. WhatsApp has provided designs for both light and dark modes in special albums.

The app also aims to make it easier for users to quickly search and find stickers with text or emoji, as well as browse through general categories.
